The concept of the knot chair bases on the indirect connection of the wooden elements through one knot-element which lets the chair appear as a unit.
Conventional wooden chairs are commonly assembled by adding single pieces together, while plastic chairs consist of one cast.
The knot chair mixes these two ways of assambling. It represents the idea of creating a wooden chair out of a single cast.

Das Konzept des knot chairs basiert darauf, die einzelnen Elemente eines Holzstuhls nicht direkt, sondern über ein Knotenelement zu vereinen.
Holzstühle sind normalerweise aus mehreren, additiv gefügten Einzelteilen zusammengesetzt, während Kunststoffstühle aus einem Guss bestehen.
Der knot chair vermischt diese zwei Herstellungsweisen. Er steht für die Idee, einen Holzstuhl aus einem Guss zu fertigen.
